We are proud to offer you high quality Hand Painted Slates. The process is buying genuine PA gray slates from the northeastern part of the state. We wash, cut, and drill holes, & examine each one prior to painting the background. The design is put on and then it is sprayed with an industrial grade clear coat that has ultra violet protection in it, which assures that the slates will hold up outdoors in direct sunlight for years.
